Accounting Procedures and Records Management

Governmental accounting procedures are different from accounting procedures in the Private Sector. The involvement of federal regulations and procedures also complicates things.  Because of these factors, Financial Department staff members, as well as people who supervise day-to-day Bookkeeping and Accounting functions, require specialized training in these procedures.

When Financial Audits and Governmental Reviews are performed according to Government regulations and the Single Audit Act, funding agencies and auditors always take a critical look at the Financial area. Having accurate books and timely reports is critical for organizations in order to run smoothly and to have the ‘almighty audit’ no longer be a dreaded occurrence.

TSA has developed this unique training session, which will present accounting and bookkeeping procedures to workshop participants in a fun, interactive way. At the end of each training day, a question, answer, and review session will be held by the workshop leader. The goal of this training session is to make learning the procedural information that participants need to know for their Bookkeeping and Accounting functions easy, and non-threatening.  TSA certificates will be presented to everyone who attends.
